Geriatric Fellowship
Ranked thirty-first in the nation in geriatrics by U.S. News and World Report, Ohio State physicians possess unique expertise in caring for patients as they age. The fellowship program in geriatrics, established in 2005, is designed to produce fellows who are well trained in clinical geriatrics and well prepared to sit for the Added Qualifications Exam in Geriatric Medicine. There is an accredited one year program in clinical geriatrics, and an optional second year which would be primarily research and education-based for fellows planning on academic careers.
Training sites for the first year include:
Geriatric Evaluation Clinic 30% Academic Nursing Home 20% Home Care 10% Geriatric Inpatient Consultations 10% Memory Disorders Clinic (Neurology Dept) 5%  Columbus Alzheimer's Center 5% Dodd Hall Inpatient Rehabilitation rotation, 1 month Didactics/study time 20%
