We are pleased to announce that we are now accepting applications for the T32 Training Grant entitled, “Training in Congenital and Acquired Heart Disease,” jointly sponsored by The Research Institute at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and the Davis Heart and Lung Research Institute at The Ohio State University,
The T32 Training Grant eligibility requirements are as follows.
- Applicant must submit a four-page proposal
- Applicant must commit to two years of continuous research; 2nd year funding contingent upon progress from 1st year
- Applicant must have a Letter of Support from Sponsor which includes past and present grant support
- Applicant must include a CV
- Applicant must include a CV from Sponsor
- Applicant must include a career-development plan
- MD, PhD, MD/PhD, DO or DVM are all encouraged to apply
- Applicant will be required to participate in the T32-developed curriculum
- Applicant must be a citizen or a noncitizen national of the United States or have been lawfully admitted for permanent residence at the time of appointment
- Applicant’s research must be directly related to congenital or acquired cardiovascular disease
Benefits of participation include the following.
- Applicants will receive stipend (up to year-3 NIH salary guidelines), benefits and tuition support
- Applicants will be assigned a mentoring team which will include the sponsor and a minimum of two participating faculty
- Applicants will perform their primary research in the sponsor’s laboratory, complete didactic coursework and participate in seminars and journal club
