Dr. Alex Auseon is Assistant Professor of Clinical Internal Medicine and Associate Director of the Cardiovascular Fellowship Training Program at The Ohio State University Medical Center. He specializes in multimodality cardiovascular imaging -- including echocardiography, stress echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, cardiovascular computed tomography, cardiovascular magnetic resonance, and nuclear cardiology.
His primary research interests lie in fellowship education. He has a number of active projects investigating national trends in Cardiovascular Disease Board Examination performance by analyzing the American Board of Internal Medicine test database, identifying successful strategies for succesful mentorship of fellows and young faculty and exploring innovative ways of teaching diagnosis-centered cardiovascular imaging.
