Diabetes and pancreatic islet cell biology.

Research Interests:

Molecular mechanisms in: 1) the (im)balance of cellular proinsulin maturation and clearance in response to active synthesis; 2) the development of pancreatic b-cell failure and atypical alpha/beta-cell populations in diabetes.
