Medical Consultation

The Division of General Internal Medicine is delighted to provide medical consultation.  Upon referral from a doctor, a member of our Division will perform a comprehensive review and assessment of a patient’s medical conditions and treatments, and advise the patient and the referring physician.  Patients are referred for a variety of reasons including preoperative assessment and preparation for surgery, diagnostic dilemmas, unexplained symptoms, difficult to control hypertension, medication simplification and other problems or concerns.  The Division is also happy to coordinate any diagnostic testing or referral for subspecialty consultation that might be appropriate for these patients.
