Dr. Wang joined the faculty in 2005.  She is an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases.  She is also the Medical Director of the Ben Franklin Tuberculosis Control Program, which reports and investigates all tuberculosis cases for Franklin County, Ohio.

Special Interests

Dr Wang’s clinical interest is in tuberculosis and tropical medicine.  Her major research interest has been molecular epidemiology and diagnosis of tuberculosis.  She also has overseas experience with TB and HIV in India and Thailand.  She is a member of the Infectious Diseases Society of America, the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, and the International Society of Travel Medicine.

Dr. Wang is a NetWellness expert in tuberculosis.  NetWellness is an unbiased, non-profit consumer health information service delivered on the Web through the collaborative efforts of the University of Cincinnati, The Ohio State University, and Case Western Reserve University.  Since 1995, NetWellness’ mission has been to provide the highest quality health information and education to meet the growing trend of the public to use the Internet for medical and health information.  Health care professionals, including physicians, nurses, dietitians, pharmacists, dentists, genetic counselors, optometrists, psychologists, psychiatrists, physical therapists, speech and hearing therapists, occupational therapists, athletic trainers, and social workers answer consumer questions and provide current health information.
