Clinical facilities include The Ohio State University Medical Center, with 923 licensed beds, including the University Hospitals with its full-service medical Clinic Microbiology and Immunology laboratories and a Clinical Epidemiology Program, the ArthtJames Cancer Hospital and Research InstituteOSU Hospitals East, and the Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital.Patients in outpatient care are seen in the Infectious Diseases Clinic, a full-time clinic with its own dedicated staff, record room and appointment desk. The staff includes six nurses, pharmacists, social worker, office manager, record room clerk and receptionist. Other patient care is provided in off-campus clinical sites.

Research facilities include a broad mix of laboratory facilities, including BSL-III laboratories for hazardous specimens.
