Research Interests
My research interest revolves around health services research among critically ill adults. This includes the discovery of novel clinical risk factors and the engineering of processes and structures to improve care delivery in the intensive care unit.

A current funded project is a prospective cohort study examining the association between excess weight and proximate and durable outcomes for mechanically ventilated adults. I am also interested in the influence of excess weight on provider bias and disparities in care.

A second project examines the association between the development of delirium among patients with sepsis and long-term mortality and morbidity.
