Critical Care Specialist Discusses Asthma

Dr. Jonathan Parsons of the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine provided testing of pulmonary function, which was valuable in demonstrating to viewers how easy the testing is to find out if you have asthma. Parsons also demonstrated how people who have asthma can monitor their lung function, particularly on bad air days, to find out if their asthma is flaring or not. This segment coincided with the American Lung Association's asthma efforts and was coordinated along with weather pieces throughout this morning's newscast.
